Beyond Software as a Service (SAAS)
Combining the power of AI with the human connection of strength-based coaching, we create growth experiences that are personalized, scalable, and effective--powering destinations that matter.
AI is transforming every industry—and we are using it to reshape how behavioral change and mental health support are delivered. Behavioral change is hard, but our AI-powered coaching suite and next-generation growth platform make it more consistent, scalable, and effective than ever.
At Lifelab Studios, we’ve reimagined how personal growth and behavioral change happen. We believe lasting change occurs when people are truly seen, supported, and empowered—and when organizations have the systems to deliver that care well. We build the tools that make this possible.
We help organizations deliver high-quality, aligned behavioral change at scale using AI-powered programs, AI case management tools, and staff empowerment supports. Journey.do is an AI-powered system for delivering behavioral change—from intake to outtake—across behavioral health, justice, recovery, school, and social service systems.
We are deeply committed to unlocking human potential.
We believe meaningful behavioral change happens when people are seen, supported, and given the right systems to grow. Our work brings together research, AI-powered tools, and human connection to make that possible—at scale.
We build technology that helps organizations champion the growth of those they serve.
Through a next-generation connected growth platform and AI tools designed to support—not replace—human judgment, we make it easier for organizations and individuals to deliver high-quality, aligned care while honoring each person’s story and progress.
Lifelab Studios was founded on a simple premise: people want to do good work, relationships catalyze change, and technology should strengthen—not distance—human connection. AI allows us to deliver this with consistency, fidelity, and accountability across complex systems.
We are driven by the company mission to power people, organizations and communities to thrive. This is our Priority 1 driver, and is our first consideration.
It is our goal to succeed, providing an innovative growth platform and in a way that is sustainable and scalable to reach our social impact goals.
We grew out of the university and remain committed to transforming how people grow, providing an innovative example and sharing lessons learned.
Reflections
Billions are spent each year on mandated behavioral change—across justice, recovery, social work, and schools—yet little real change is achieved. Antiquated systems focus on compliance, not transformation. Staff are buried in paperwork instead of building connection. Outcomes aren’t measured, and programs remain fragmented, treating symptoms instead of root patterns.
It is our mission to make sure every individual tasked with supporting behavioral change can succeed. By positioning AI and powerful change management tools to handle the transactional work, we free officers, coaches, case managers, and social workers to do the relational work—ensuring each person in their care feels seen, valued, and accountable in ways that drive meaningful change.
When I was 15, I was living on the streets, struggling with whether I even wanted to live. My turning point came through an arrest that placed me in a locked rehab facility. That was the beginning of a lifelong journey of healing—both my own, as a sober individual with decades of recovery, and my commitment to helping others unlock their potential. As a teacher, counselor, and professor, I’ve spent years researching how people learn and grow, publishing over a hundred works in learning sciences. Journey.do is the culmination of this work and the contributions of many others, creating an invitational, scalable solution for personal growth.
Our behavioral change model and studio implementation combine cross-disciplinary insights on how people learn with today’s technological breakthroughs. Delivered through a “growth as empowering infrastructure” approach, our framework creates a unique value proposition. At the heart is story—our shared humanity—connecting people with each other, and with coaches who, supported by AI insights, are able to help each person author new possibilities for their life.
With generative AI, we’ve entered a new era. Just as DNA sequences shape biological life, our life stories can now be read and powered by AI to reveal deep insights and personalized guidance. This opens the door to a transformative future for growth and wellness. We believe adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are the greatest mental health threat of our time—and we now have tools to help those navigating mandated behavioral change truly succeed.
Our mission is to unlock human potential at scale. We envision a world where every struggling individual can overcome ACEs and build a better future. And more than that, a world where growth isn’t just mandated, but motivated—where all of us move in and out of journeys throughout life, unlocking new capacities, connecting with peers, and realizing our full potential.
